You're never going to get tboned on a track, or a head on collision with another car traveling the opposite direction at speed. We can go down a rabbit hole and argue walls etc, but walls are stationary unlike another car traveling in a different direction multiplying opposite force. And...

They're meant to be used with a hans device and helmet. Your oem seat will crush and work with the seatbelt, race seats don't have crush points. The types of accidents that happen on a track are very different than what occur on the street

I'd keep the oem seats if you drive it on the street. Fixed back race seats are dangerous and will hurt you in a street accident
