I wish someone with a 2019 would check their owners manual to see the interval for plugs.

it’s 40 for:

Arteon, Beetle, Golf Alltrack, GSW 1.8, Golf R, Jetta GLI, Passat, Tiguan Limited.

And 80 for:

Atlas, GSW 1.4, Golf 1.4, Jetta 1.4, Tiguan.

So all the B-Cycle engines call for 80K/6 years on plugs, and the non-B-Cycle engines call for 40K/4 years.

funny, it literally doesn’t include the GTI hahaha but we can confidently loop the 2019 GTI in with the 2019 R @ 40K

40k is what I've been saying.

I blame VW's quality/regulatory department for this debacle. Need better document review process.

agreed. They have a long history of this crap too.

youd think one of the largest multinational corporations in the world would have figured out a clear-cut framework/process for disseminating centralized information out to differing regulatory environments and product offerings.

In order to qual some of the debacle, I checked my owner's manual.
For 2019/20 GTI the spark plug interval is:
40k miles (or 60k kilometers) OR every 4 years; whichever comes first.

Thank you for validating what I've been saying.

Really. You expect them to do that when they can't even stop the thermostat housing from leaking.

80k miles is crazy IMO.. Unless I'm missing something, there's no significant change to the motor in the last 5 years that could justify this. Perhaps it's along the same lines of thinking as the oil weight change in an effort to lower the total cost of ownership?
Follow the engineering of the platform and all of the notable changes within the system and it will make sense. Your analogies are "beliefs" and not applied engineering practices.

"APR recommends NGK heat range 9 (NGK-R7437-9) spark plugs gapped to 0.024" ±0.002" or 0.6mm ±0.05mm with a change interval of 10-15,000 mi or 16-24,000 km."
APR 1.8 Stage 3 tune(IS38), R7437-9 after 35k miles vs RS7 plugs. I can definitely see why they recommend 10k intervals.
