T minus 30 days to Fastivus. Whoever assembled my car can finally collect on their prank. When removing the axles I found blue loctite on the axle splines. I've removed axles on dozens of VWs/Audis and never seen this before. It genuinely took over two hours and a 5lb sledge to get those buggers out. (Note to self buy a new press). All that's left is the bevel box, center driveshaft, coolant lines, shift linkage, and a few bolts. Hoping to finally get the DSG out tomorrow to inspect the clutchpack!

Added some holes to help the car breathe a bit easier. Especially with the stock intercooler and an EQT Stage 2 tune. Keeps it a few degrees cooler. I originally wanted the grill scoops but decided to run Hella horns instead. They don't allow for the scoops to have enough mounting room so this was to get the best of both worlds.

Its literally like 1-2 degrees lmfao. Also I am eventually grabbing a IE intercooler since I'm eventually going Vortex XL. This is something I've been wanting to do. Get the car a bit more air.

Installed Powerflex poly jack points front and rear. They go in the same spots as the audi ones, just a 1 piece polyurethane design. Rears were easy, used a 22mm socket between the jack and the insert to get it to pop into place. Gave the nub portion a healthy coating of sil-glyde first. The fronts required taking off some panels and cutting a hole in them with the dremel for the jack point to poke through. No socket required on the fronts as the hole it pops into is slightly bigger and tapered. I broke the forward-most clips on both these panels but that doesn't matter because the screw that stops the whole thing from sliding back and popping out is less than an inch away.

Installed an ESC hot air intake because woosh sounds. No pics, we all seen them, 8 hours later....





I got hit at a stoplight. 4 way light, mine was red so I was stopped waiting for green. For some reason I had stopped about 10 foot from the line, call it what ever, but it was a good thing I did. Cross traffic had the green light, an f150 was turning left (onto my 2 lane street), ford fusion was coming from the other direction. F150 thought that since he had the green, she had a red and barely slowed down, fusion slammed into the back passenger wheel of f150, ripping it off and sending it 50' down the road. F150 spun and rear bumper landed on the hood and bumper of the drivers side of my car. Everyone was ok first and foremost. The R was leaking alot Of fluid out. Shut the car off and got out to give first aid while wife called 911. Would have been so much worse if I had pulled all the way up. Now the fun part of dealing with everyone's Insurance.

Lmao, He just came from a friends house and his buddy had put "bitch", a nice drawing of a male member, and "I'm gay" in the dirt on the side of his truck just 10 minutes prior to him leaving his house. Nice touch for the police photos if I must say so myself .

Oh I believe that 100%, just some on here believe different and I completely understand. Cops was cool about it all. About the time I was getting my information Out of the glove box I remembered I had my FiveseveN in the door pocket. Told the cop about it being there and he just said, "You dont reach for yours and I wont reach for mine" Fair enough.

I have zero desire for my car to actually be loud, but I like the sound of (some) loud cars. I'm running the TTRS firmware on my TDI, sound aktor retrofit. It's awesome! And if I don't want to hear it myself I can set it to Comfort mode.

Oem rotors had some pretty heavy grooves worn into them so I decided it was time for some new brakes.
Picked up some pp front calipers with SS lines from another forum member, Zimmerman rotors, and EBC reds so nothing too crazy.
I am aware the drilled rotors are overkill, will be louder, more brake dust, etc.
I got the rotors 100% for looks lol.

Pretty happy with them so far. Definitely bites a bit harder than the base calipers.
