Should be a sticker in the engine bay with the oil weight. You'll have to refer to your owners manual for quantity or give us more information as this forum covers all possible Mk8 Golf versions.

TLDW; with 4.7kΩ load - if V > 2.8V cell is good. V < 2.8V - discard cell.

Just measuring voltage with a generic multimeter doesn't really give a good indication of whether a cell is serviceable. All batteries really need to be tested under load to determine state of charge/serviceability.

Will not fit. Very few 17s will. I run 18 peelers from my 12 R in the winter and there isn't much room between the caliper and barrel.

This was forced in the US over a year ago. I can't even remember the differences.
