Accessory not supported

I can pair my iPhone 11 Pro Max to the car Bluetooth fine. I also have a work phone which is an IPhone 6S and that pairs too. But somehow (when the phones are not connected via cables) when I put them into the car I keep getting Accessory not supported on both phones. Even though both are connected to the Bluetooth just fine? Has anyone seen this? As far as I’m aware my model of the Mk8 (company car) does not have wireless charging.

Is it saying accessory not supported when the cable is plugged in? If so it could be a faulty cable.

No unfortunately.. only when paired via Bluetooth. When the phone is plugged in CarPlay works just fine no issue. Yet when I place both phones in the car, no cables attached, I get the accessory not supported error.

Bump - I too have this issue. iPhone 13 pro max. Only happens via Bluetooth. Have tried removing device and reconnecting but same error. Even though it does work. Anyone else seeing this or have a fix?
