Adblue "reset"

Hi all,
New to this forum and looking to find some assistance ....
I have a 16 month old Golf Mk8 GTD. Last week, a message came up when turning on the ignition saying I need to add some Adblue - about 1000 miles range left.
When the range got down to 900 miles, I added about 10 litres of Adblue (the message suggested between 5 and 12 litres).
Despite refilling, I still get a warning message when turning on the ignition - it says remaining range 11500 miles !
The car had obviously registered the refilling, as the range has gone up - but I cannot believe I need to get a warning for the next year !
Any other diesel users experienced this? If so, how did you get rid of the bong and the annoying message ?

Seems to be a fairly common issue with some models of VW diesels using Adblue.

If you’ve not already done so it’d be worth doing an internet search as I think it’s been discussed on various VW forums in the past. Hopefully there’ll be some suggested fixes you can try to stop the audible warning and the annoying message.
