Any other cars that I am missing that are good for 25-35k?

Decent MPG 22+average
Usable back seat
Leather
Fairly unique
220+hp
FUN to drive
Good to drive on long trips (Road noise etc)

Here is my list... what else am I missing?!
1. Golf R (my current Top choice)
2. 335is (out of my budget )
3. STI (too expensive, cheap inside

Any suggestions before I take the R plunge?

but in reality the Golf R interior compared to an STI is laughably nice when side by side. Go for the R !

Have you considered something along the lines of the 8th Gen accord 6 cylinder?
Lots of power, nice interior. It's a bit boaty for my taste but a great looking car.

JCW ... possible but not a great daily
Mustang ... too vanilla
A3 possible but for what I am looking for the A3 used will be almost as much as NEW R. They are very hard to find in AWD form
328i new is over 40k+tax
