APR No Longer Providing Stage 2 Tunes After Labour Day. Other Tuners to Follow

Saw this being discussed today. Basically, APR will no longer be providing stage 2 tunes after Labour Day and they have already stopped downpipe manufacturing. In fact, you can't even buy an APR downpipe anymore. Other tuners are going to follow in an effort to reduce auto emissions.

I imagine their concern is more of a legal nature, than fighting emissions.

Meh aprs stage 2 tune wasnt that impressive anyways. Had it on my Mk7.5 gti when I bought it used and it was meh wasnt impressed by any means.

I think stage 2 with a bigger turbo would have been the magic bullet, but I may have to research into Unitronic now. I'm already APR Stage 1, but before I go deeper, perhaps it's time to think of my future plans.

It’s not related to carb, it’s the federal government (i.e. EPA).

Hasnt this always been an issue though? Companies would just put a disclaimer saying for off road or race use only.

They did the same thing last year with the diesel guys. It’s all about money my guess. They target the big aftermarket companies and fine them hard. Idk seems awfully similar.
