wow, im in germany right now as some as you know.

im going to belgium and holland this easter weekend, and i have rented a car.

they told me ford escort or similar (154€ for the 5 days w/unlimited mileage)
will similar turns out to be a new BMW 3er... not incredibly disappointed:biggrin:
although i would have preffered an vw gti or audi, the bmw will have to do.

well $hit parking a non hatch is Fn hard in köln, there are no large spots... in the states a 3 series bmw is not the biggest of cars, and in fact it is the smallest bmw next to z's... but wow this car is a larger car here in this city.
i wish i had a hatch to help park but the bmw does have this sonar type parking assistance where the closer you get the faster this beeping sound gets telling you not to hit the car behind you.

i will hit up the autobahn tomorrow and see what this diesel can do

that is sweet, i saw that on a toyota, takes about 20- 30 seconds to park depending on the spot. you can sit back in your seat with a coffee while your car parks itself

well it was fun, driving in germany is where all the fun is at. once you get into holland when the speed limit ends they have a general rule of 120 kmh :(
going over to brussels you leave germany real quick from köln.

coming back from holland i got to go a little faster, i didnt push the 318 (it was debadged like most all cars in germany and i wouldnt have known it was a 1.8 if hadnt looked on the key tag) just keeping up with traffic i went 190kmh (119mph) i was at 4000 rpm and im sure the car had alot more,

when i rented an opel astra (2.2 tdi) of all cars i maxed out the spedo at 220 (136mph) as a porsche gt3 passed me (and i am not joking... i think those of you in germany can believe that)
