Boot/tailgate strap/handle

My wife struggles to reach the handle inside the boot lid to pull it down (she is quite short). I have been looking for some sort of strap or handle to fix to the inside of the boot lid somewhere to help but haven't found anything that suitable. Any suggestions?

Get her a set of 6" heels? My daughter is 4'11" and she manages to close the hatch on my R without too much trouble. One last option could be to pop the taillight access panel on either side and she could use the opening as a handle. I just checked my R and that opening is about 2" lower than the handles/cups that are molded into the hatch panel.
