Throwaway car with a completely sprung suspension, or unplanned, overdone stunt mistake?
They can go much faster, driver probably braked just before the hilltop.

Looks like the bay area, so I wouldn't be surprised if it was in Oakland and the Tesla is stolen

The car was rented... Unless the news know the owner and is trying to do a cover up, but we know ABC loves to cover up for affluent people.

The rented 2018 Tesla was abandoned at the scene. There is currently no description of the driver.

If you watch the crash these dummies had zero expectation of the car being wrecked.
They're super surprised by the altitude and then the bowling ball effect the car has on the rest of the lower street. It is funny how the car pitches so far forward tho, they must've thought it would fly truer without the engine up front.

There's so much unverified information flying around about the whole incident. The car was brand new. The car was rented from Turo. The car was rented from Enterprise. The driver's drove off with the car. The car was abandoned and the drivers fled the scene. Alex Choi organized the whole thing and knows who was driving. Alex Choi just happened to be there and has no idea who these people are. There was a cat in the car. Etc...
All I know is eventually someone's getting arrested
