Golf eHybrid Mk.8.5 owner manual?

Hello,

Is there a downloadable version of the Mk.8.5 eHybrid owners manual? I can access it online with my VIN but, it's neither downloadable or always available for some bizarre reason.

Apologies if this has been asked before. I did use the search function but, I couldn't find anything which may be down to my poor search skills rather than anything else.

The online manual is pants. When I want to look up something I have to enter the 16 number/letter vin EVERY TIME. I used to like reading traditional paper manuals but, in the name of modernity, even that simple pleasure and convenience has been denied to me.

That’s not entirely true, it depends upon the route in which you access the manual, once you are logged into MyVolkswagen there are two routes you can take, if you click the MENU option in the top left you bring up a menu list, click ‘Owners and Services’ then select MANUALS and you are required to enter your VIN, but if you instead click your user icon on the top right, you are shown a different menu, in this menu click ‘My vehicles & products’, your vehicle specific page is then displayed, clicking on the user manual link on this page takes you to the user manual without having to manually enter your VIN as it is pre filled.

The MyVolkswagen App must have changed for the Mk8.5. There is no MENU option top left and no user icon on the top right. I now save my VIN in notes on my iPhone/iPad, copy and then paste to open the rubbish online manual. Thanks for the information nevertheless.

Yeh it's a total pita. My manual again isn't working today. This seems to happen 60 to 70% of the time where the manual loads the contents page but, everything else errors or says there is a problem requesting the page or it's unavailable. Please try later..

I have an 8.5, I have to click ‘Driving Data’ within the APP in order to get to the web page version of MyVolkswagen, I cannot access any user manual data via the APP itself, I then follow the path described in my earlier post above. This was exactly the same for my previous Mk8.

Out of interest I tried your route via my driving data login and it still asks for my VIN and then of course today it's still 'the requested content can not be displayed, please try later' when I try and go into any sections in the manual. It's bloody useless. I just want a PDF.

Edit: the VIN wasn't required if I used your second method via my user and not the menu. Still nothing in the manual loads. Please try later.......

Maybe they’re updating/improving it?! Unlikely, but one can dream!
