Golf GTD Previewed.

Another article here on the forthcoming GTD;

Although this article and the one in Autocar states the mk8 GTD will have the cleanest Diesel engine ever installed in a Golf (and Motor1 goes as far as to state ’one of the cleanest combustion engines in the world’), I don’t think it will sell in large numbers in the UK. Diesel has fallen out of favour with the UK car buying public since Dieselgate, and with ever tightening of emissions regulations, the creation of Clean Air Zones and Ultra Low Emission Zones.
i daresay it‘ll be a good car though, if you can live with the cheap touchscreen interior, but Dieselgate, and the general (often misplaced) perception of Diesels is likely to mean we won’t see too many on the roads.
