Anyone know if you can buy this in Gloss Black to match the rest of the grille. Or if it can be sanded and painted?

Best bet is to wrap it in vinyl. It won’t take paint very well.

IF he sands it down and primes then paints it will work, but just trying to paint over that plastic sometimes does nto turn out well. Vinyl could be a good option.

getting the bumper off is the easy part. accessing the chrome strip is a pita. i wanted to remove the trim and wrap it for a clean job but i stopped after seeing the amount of clips it attaches to the bumper with. if you want to wrap it, save yourself the headaches and just wrap the strip while the bumper is on the car

Did you ever find it in a gloss black ? Also does anyone know if there’s a huge difference in the lower grille trims as I found a black one but supposedly it won’t fit my golf r line but it looks almost identical to the one for my golf r line so has anyone tried fitting one not meant for there car ?
