Just installed the wheel, it really feels good in the hands. Really spices up the feel of the interior and goes well with the shift boot and knob, very happy with the look

Looks good, love seeing some folks with not perfectly round airbags get custom steering wheels, haha. What pedals are those? They look good too.

Went a little different direction with the Wagen since most time I’m driving it to the beach with the kids and want more of a safari baja style. Have 16x7 sparco wheels with Yokohama golanders in 215/60/16 with the bearded detailer lift kit, and also Alltrack springs and rear struts. The ride is totally different, no worry of rubbing with my 8mm and 15mm spacers, bumps are no big deal, way more comfortable but definitely more floaty but overall happy with the ride. Here’s a pic after getting installed at EMD in Anaheim, and a pic from today at the beach with the family. Probably is20 next for big project and give the wagen a little more push. .

2 week update with the Alltrack springs rear struts and the lift kit, everything is really nice, ride is comfortable, I can back into my driveway, no more scraping, just bought a CTS catted downpipe from urotuning and gonna beta test stage 2 map for us 1.8 guys from integrated engineering. Excited to run stage 2! I also found a key fob cover on amazon that fits our fobs perfectly, ok will update when I get the downpipe and IE dongle and tuneOh yeah also I got fog light kit as well looking forward to install

Gonna install the CTS downpipe and flash to beta stage 2 integrated engineering tomorrow, looking forward to it! I was surprised to see the neck of the downpipe looks ceramic coated or something?

I think the finish is different on the first section of the dp because it's a cast piece. I just installed a CTS dp on my car a couple months ago too. I actually had the first section of mine coated in Swaintech White Lightning all the way down to the mounting bracket to try to reduce underhood temps a bit.

Got the CTS downpipe installed and the IE beta stage 2 file downloaded tonight. Took the Wagen for a quick hoon on one of my local back roads and whoa! Way faster than Unitronic stage 1 complete night and day, feels like a hot rod now, really looking forward to helping smooth this base file out! The only thing was when down shifting it seemed to have a delay like rev hang but other than that no codes and smooth at highway speeds . The tune had a smile on my face because the car is so much faster in every gear I can’t believe it really it makes me feel more like my mk7 GTI stratified stage 1 tune! Gonna have to add some mufflers because for me the car is too loud now for sure, anyways will report back Finally we 1.8 guys are getting some love

Took the family on a mountain cruise 14 miles of no pavement over the ocean, car feels so good, this stage 2 tune from IE rocks the car pulls hard and passing on highway 1 is fun as sh$!

Like the wheels, are they pretty easy to clean?
Looking at the BES kit myself for the sportwagen, as I think a little lift would great for all the dirt roads I have to drive. Bottomed out on one last week when the tire hit a water flow gap, luckly super low speeds as I saw it coming.
Edit: What did the install run you EMD if you don't mind me asking?
