GTI vs. Cobalt SS (Flat Black Balt)

Race between me and Flat Black Balt, we started at a roll, roughly 20-25 mph, up until 2nd gear we were even, after that he completely blew past me. :yikes:

Was a fun race to gauge what the STOCK GTI has w/ a RESONATOR delete.

My 2nd gear and my 3rd gear are my FTW gears


Power Mods:

2.7 (15 PSI) supercharger pulley (stock is 3.3")
60 lb injectors
ported blower
k&n Cold air intake
Meth/water injection kicking in at 12 PSI
1 gallon intercooler reservoir
DUAL PASS endplate on intake manifold
Equal Length Header
Gutted CAT
2.5" Exhaust piping
Limited boost in 1st gear to prevent wheel spin
Customed tuned via HPTUNERS

Wide open throttle:
Timing advanced at 21-24* after 3100 rpm.
11.7 - 11.8 WOT air to fuel from start to 5000 rpm, then 5000 - 7400 rpm AFR goes to 11.4

Mainly a mid-top end monster...

Puts down 280+ WHP, 270+ WTRQ

Hoping to run those mid - low 13s this coming Sunday!

I was showing about 15.5psi with a 3.0" pulley on my SS S/C. Is the lower pressure with a smaller pulley on yours due to the ported blower?

Exactly correct; thus why GM stg 2 does 15.5-16 psi. because the stock exhaust is very restrictive
Also has to do with elevation... but we're at roughly 1200' here. I see the same PSI at sea level. I'm sure it a smidgit more at sea level, but it isn't noticable on the analog boost gauge.

Mine is the way it is because:

ported blower
1 5/8" primaries to a 3" collector EQUAL LENGTH HEADER
Gutted Cat
3" resonator
2.5" exhaust piping
stock ss muffler

Flows very well
a 2.7 pulley would otherwise do 17.5-18 PSI

I honestly dunno... havnt dynoed my car since I've done all the additional cooling mods and meth injection. Nor have I tracked it...
