The FiveseveN 5.7 gen 2. Love it, but expensive for a daily beater.

Dudes that have sold guns before, how did you go about finding a buyer?? I have a sig p229 sas I want to sell, bought it for around $700 back in ~2005. Never liked it and it's just been sitting in my safe, there's nothing wrong with it and it's been reliable every time I've shot it, just heavier and bigger than my normal preference. I brought it to my local shop to try and sell it and they lowballed me hard and offered $50 of in-store credit. I'd rather it sit in my safe unfired till I die than sell it for $50. Any advice?

I've had luck just roaming around gun shows. You have both attendees and the folks that have booths that you can see if they are interested.

I have a two tone Sig P220 I've been trying to get rid off. Not a lot of demand for metal frame 45s that aren't a 1911. Best offer was $450. It's still in my safe lol.

i regret not picking up a SP89 back in the 90s
Truth be told, it’s not a real H&K, it’s a clone made by MKE in Turkey on H&K machines and tooling.

I’m going to SBR this and add a suppressor and I’ll still be under the cost of the H&K model with tax stamps. I couldn’t justify $2.5K on the gun alone, especially after engraving it for a form one and destroying any future resale value.

Yeah, could've picked it up for $1499, bit too much for a ramen eating college student. Missed out of 2 flat bending parties too. Even if I bought it, I don't think I'd bring it out much, I barely ever take out my P7.

Here is the scorpion all dressed out. HBIndustries folding brace, N2O Nitro 9mm can, Franklin Armory bianary trigger, Sig Romeo optics, magpul 50 round drum, Amazon blue laser (for $50 its been a nice one, holds 0 even after 1k rounds). I do want an H&K though. Just not in the cards right now.

I have 2 now. One in this.

Just an F1 firearms. 223 wylde with the whole timbercreek blue kit. I love mag dumping with it, but practicality is low. Smallest group i could do at 60 yards was a 2 inch double tap. They are about a 4 to 5 lb pull, but the reset fire is really short and crisp.

That’s not bad at 60yds though…I’d have expected a larger gap honestly. But yeah, the practicality part is what’s keeping me from dropping coin on it, considering PSA has hella good Black Friday deals going

What Would Glenn Danzig Do
So I ended up selling my SIG p229. The plan was to get a Springfield hellcat pro comp, but it's only available in black right now and black pistols are not my favorite. Springfield said to check back in 6 months and they'll likely be available in FDE which is what I want. But 6 months ehhhhhh I'm impatient.

So do I...
  • Suck it up and get the black pro comp
  • Get the hellcat pro non comped version in FDE
  • Wait the 6 months
  • Or get something different, also wanting a HK Vp9sk
Thoughts?

I wouldn’t wait that long either. Why don’t you get what you want and then ceracoat the parts you want?

I already know I'm not waiting lol. I usually buy a new gun every ~6 months. Cerakote won't get me what I want since only the slide can be done, hellcats are polymer frame
