I already know I'm not waiting lol. I usually buy a new gun every ~6 months. Cerakote won't get me what I want since only the slide can be done, hellcats are polymer frame
Ahhh …. I say just get black then

So I ended up selling my SIG p229. The plan was to get a Springfield hellcat pro comp, but it's only available in black right now and black pistols are not my favorite. Springfield said to check back in 6 months and they'll likely be available in FDE which is what I want. But 6 months ehhhhhh I'm impatient.

So do I...
  • Suck it up and get the black pro comp
  • Get the hellcat pro non comped version in FDE
  • Wait the 6 months
  • Or get something different, also wanting a HK Vp9sk
Thoughts?
Buy black non- OR and have it milled for the specific optic you want and cerekoted the color that you want (polymer frame too). The shop I use, NC Engravers uses no-bake cerekote. Idk how that much different than spray paint, but he’s done 5 of my guns and it has held up fine.

I’ve found the OR slides with plates are a compromise and that it’s always better to choose the optic footprint and have the slide cut.

They're all cut for an optic already that's not the issue. The new hellcat pro has an integrated compensator which is cool.

How much does it cost to cerakote a pistol ballpark?

I know a guy in the outskirts of Chicago who's a regular Banksy with some spray paint. He can get that thing looking however you want, can't be much more difficult than a car seat...

Sig p365 rose edition. It's marketed for female shooters, but I rock it when the wife doesn't. You can get it with the matching Romeo one rose gold optics also that's *chef's kiss*.

Merry Christmas everyone! Just reading through my American Rifleman magazine and saw the article about the 21 Sharp. I'd be interested in knowing how it performs in .22LR rifles and pistols, if anyone tries it to see how much accuracy and performance suffers at shorter distances. Is it worth using in a pistol for its supposed less recoil?

I'm waiting on a Lee Sporting lower for the MP5K so that I can use an AR trigger and grip. The trigger in the MP5 is terrible. Form one approved.
