Yes, VW honor the price at time of ordering, but as already mentioned, the RRP at time of registration is what the tax amount is based on.

The Golf Mk8 GTE has a 13kWh drive battery with 10.9 available. The Mk8.5 GTE has an impressive 19.7kWh battery. Not seen the battery availability figure but I would guess it would be about 17.0. What I question is the range claim. The smaller battery of the Mk8 has a claimed range of 38 miles but in the real world it’s in low thirties. VW say the Mk8.5 will travel 82 miles. That is total bo**icks. In the real world I guess it will be about 50.
