It’s a true full 109 mm intake system from the dual frontal inlet scoops all the way to the included turbocharger inlet adapter connecting directly to the turbo. The system is completely configurable making it an open or closed system, both with OEM inspired cover or more stylish carbon fiber covers in both twill and forged carbon fiber. The system is also compatible with stock and larger turbocharger systems, both OEM, hybrid, and aftermarket thanks to swappable back tubes and turbo inlet adapters. The system flows dramatically more than stock, has lower pressure drop, increases horsepower & torque, sounds better, looks better, is completely configurable to your desire, and comes in at a price point that’s unbelievably affordable. The 2.0T EA888.4 found in the MQB EVO / MK8 platform has possibly the most underwhelming engine cover to grace the 2.0T since its inception generations back. Some vehicles even came with no cover at all due to the fact the flimsy and floppy factory cover could pop off and catch on fire. We fixed this with a new ridged carbon fiber design that's drop dead gorgeous. Available in Gloss Carbon Fiber Twill, and Exotic Gloss Forged Carbon Fiber, the new covers are sure to turn heads. They match the overall shape and theme of the factory cover, but ooze aesthetic appeal thanks to the carbon fiber materials, red and black accents, and of course, the world renowned APR logo plate. The engine cover looks right at home in an otherwise stock engine bay, but shines when paired with an APR intake system and matching intake cover. Simply plug and play, no tools necessary! Of course, it doesn't affect emissions, and some on the internet have even suggested it may add horsepower, at least more than stickers do, but we have not verified this claim. Get yours today and GOAPR!

When running a larger intake system, such as our own, routing the factory coolant hose under the system may not be possible on some vehicles, or may fit snugly on others. We've redesigned the hose as a plug and play upgrade that neatly runs under the intake for a clean install with minimal stress on the part.

The APR Intake System for the MK8 is modular and allows you to run it open or with one of our covers, either plastic, carbon fiber, or forged carbon fiber. The cover features additional sound and airflow paths.

Some have requested we 100% seal off the system. If that's you, we have new port covers that will do the trick!

They simply pop into place with no tools. They are available for both plastic and carbon covers (two versions due to the thickness variations between materials).

For Plastic: APR CI100052-E APR Intake Port Covers (For PEX Cover)
For Carbon: APR CI100052-F APR Intake Port Covers (For Carbon Fiber Covers)
