Is there any information about what the wheel (rim) width is on the Mark 8? I do SCCA autocross and would like to hear that the new generation has at least an 8" wheel width stock.
I see you’re from Nebraska, so presumably it’s the wheel sizes of either the GTI or R you‘re interested in - seem to remember you’re not getting non performance mk8 Golfs in the USA.
In the UK, standard wheels on both the mk8 Golf GTI and R models are 7.5J x 18” ET51, with optional 8J x 19” ET50 available as an extra cost option.
Yes sorry I should have been more specific and said GTI. In my autocross club the stock wheel width matters quite a lot as it determines the tire width that can be comfortably run.
