Around the area in red.

I spotted something tonight and wasn't sure if it's suppose to be like that.

ahh, thanks GTI2007, exactly what i'm lookin' for.
the part where the two pieces connects (in red) somehow didn't look smooth, i thought something went wrong after the bodyshop took my door out. but it's all good, looks the same.

That looks like it has the interlagos seats and dual zone climate control?
Unless that pics not of a US spec MkV?

Indeed, that's a pic of an European GTI cause it also has the button for the tire pressure controle next to the ESP-button and it has a speedo that goes to 300 km/h. Defenatly a EU GTI.

yeah ididnt even look at the speedo...that should have been my first clue!

my canadian spec gti has a speedo that goes to 300km/h too

it also dosnt have the radio controls on the steering wheel and some sort of other thing on the headlight switch

That's weird, the footrest on my car is just plain plastic. It doesn't have the metal trim.:iono:

this is a touareg light switch...
Easily replace your US headlight switch with this one, allowing the following lighting combinations:

1Off (with Daytime Running Lights)
2Auto Headlights & Parking Lights (with DRL)
3Parking Lights Only (without DRL)
4Headlights & Parking Lights (with DRL)

Fog lights are available in positions 3 & 4. Front fog lights activate when you pull the switch out to the first stop. Rear fog lights activate when you pull the switch out to the second stop.

NOTE: US cars are not equipped with wiring for the rear fog lights. Moving the switch into a position with rear fog lights will cause a warning in the Multi-Finction Display. To avoid the rear fog light error, remove pin 7 on the connector, or bend it out of the way.
