Factory Navi "Accept" stupidity

Been meaning to ask this for a while, but I kept forgetting..

Does anyone who has factory navi know how to overcome having to hit "ACCEPT" every time you start the car? I'm sure everyone with nav knows what I'm talking about - but for the benefit of doubt..

Everytime you get in and start the car, you must hit the "ACCEPT" button on the nav/radio before you can do anything with it. When it turns on, a display stating something about how you're never supposed to input an address while driving appears. This screen does not go away until you accept it.

It'd be so nice to not have to do this EVERY time I get in my car!

yes, its quite annoying.

It's trying to get you to drive safer (without distraction). I always get a laugh, that when you are driving and start to enter an address it does the same thing one more time. It'll display the same message again, then you have to accept it while driving.

I just think it's funny because it causes distraction in itself by making you hit accept.

Ah, I can live with it - but it'd be nice to not have to

Not sure dude....probably gonna have to live with it. Most factory units I know of do this same thing. That's why I love my aftermarket unit.
