Completely removing the front vw badge?

ok so, i have no idea how to do this. well somewhat, i was thinking if i bought another grill i could cut out an identical piece and place it in, somehow fuze it togeather? (any ideas?) and repaint it? for the bump in the hood, i could get a body shop to smooth it out and paint match it?

I think that it looks good, but it looks like you would just have to buy and whole new grill. Your idea might work though.

aye, gti2k7 said that's how he thought it would have to be done. i think i could manage it, i am curious as to how much a new grill would cost, and where i would aquire one?

reguarding to its looks, i love it. i think it makes the front look far more agressive, it reminds me more of the mk4 front. but to each their own i am an anti-chrome person myself.

Kamei Makes a front kit that does not have the VW badge for MKV's... http://www.kamei.de/ww/de/pub/produkte.cfm > I can't read german but was still able to find my way around the website....

I really liked the badgeless girlle on the MKIV but I dislike it on the MKV. I'm not sure why, just my opinion.

That looks SOOOOO smooth, id be Ridin Dirty all the time, wow...too bad they dont have a replacement like that, just clean...idk about cuttin into mine and what not, ive already pulled the GTI off the front, and lined it off the back...

I prefer cleaning the original grill above mounting that whole new front bumper. The cleaned original grill is a lot hotter IMHO then that of Caractere.
