GTI door sill covers?

i seen 4 mkv gtis today and none of them had gti on the door sills, although the polo gti did have them.

so maybe they polos came standard with them not the golf gti.

vw vortex seemed to think it has to do with build date. check your build date as it seems cars built in 2005 didn't have them but 2006 builds do.

Seems it may have been a rolling change.

I haven't checked my build date, but mine dont have them either. I figure in 25 years they may be worth more because they are rarer at most, at least, it doesn't affect the performance.

My ones are just metal, which is a pity. It's an 05 car though, so that'd explain it.

I got those aftermarket sills from VW that say GOLF on it and sit on the actual doorsill (as opposed to the lowered step that the factory ones sit on). Look quite nice, just can't quite get them to fit right. Wish they said GTI though...

Mine has the door sills with GTI on them. Package 1 bought little over a week ago. Just go to the dealership and say what the .... I didn't get those. What are you going to do.
