Aggressive wheel fitment thread/stance

OK so not what I would call aggressive but: Originally bought these wheels for my eurowinters at 225/40 18 but since they are light and I sold my HRE FF01s I decided to throw a 200TW on these to run in my local Auto-X.

18x8 +35 Advanti Hybris 18lbs a piece
235/40/18 Falken 615K+
EMD Springs on DCC, 6MT which sits a little higher up front I feel like.

No screw mod - only rubs when i hit a huge bump, otherwise perfect. Kind of kicking myself for not going to a 245.

Ton of room in Alltrack!

I keep going back and forth with the possibility of this. I’ve seen some similar setups but nothing exact.

2017 Golf Alltrack
VMR V702 19x9.5 et45 square
235/35 ContiSportContacts
Factory R springs
4-5mm between inside lip and strut tower

Before I go through mounting a tire, I wanted to get some other opinions. Fitment doesn’t look TOO far fetched. Not a lot of camber to play with. How close am I to making this happen?

I have an Alltrack lowered about an inch. 245/45/17 on a 17x8 et40, loads of caliper room, flush at outside. About 3/4" clearance remaining against inside obstructions. I think I wouldn't want anymore poke, glad I have the Rally Armor flaps or it would be throwing more schmutz up the side of the car. So yes I think an 8.5 or bigger width would work easy with a 255/40. I think my setup rides plush, corners well. I wanted that, done with bone jarring rides and bent wheels, I am 71. It looks great, meaty on the Indy 500s, corners like a beast!

Ooops, forgot to put pics here. I think this qualifies as agressive.

18x9 ET45 Advan GT = 18.5lb
265/35R18 Nankang AR1 semi slicks = 29.1lb

Camber is -2.5 Front on 034 plates and MSS Sports springs, and -1.8 Rear.

Yes. Yes, this qualifies. :p

Killing it man. What's next, magnesium F1 car centerlocks? 100-spoke Daytons? 3-piece converted P-Slots?

@madface: yes, I like that wheel/tire setup. I was having a hard time finding the perfect 18x8.5 setup to match that ballooned beefcake look that 19's and 35 profile tires execute so perfectly until now. I wonder how 18x8.5 with 245/35/18 federal 595 rsrr or firestone firehawk indy 500 would look

Not sure this is agressive enough for this thread, but here you go anyways:

Fast FC04 18x8 et40. 5mm space on the rear. ST coilovers. Lowered about 1 inch. Indy 500s. Weight per corner with tires is 40lbs. Fender to ground is 25.5" each corner

Here is my Enkei GTC01 18x8 et35, 225/40/18 tires and -2cm ST suspension by KW springs.
I’m not really happy with the fitment. Any suggestions how to make it more aggressive?

My thoughts was the following:
1. Add 5-8mm spacers and check if it will be better;
2. Additionally lower the car so -3cm in total and check if it will be better;
3. Try to 235/35 tires.

Please share your thoughts

This looks dope as hell. I would think spacers and your be golden. Also so if you can find a red badge insert that’s the same color as your wheels!

I thought I'd post here again. I lowered the car some more and still no rub. 245/40/18 RE71R. The wheels are VMR V710 18 x 8.5 et45. There are VWR camber plates installed, KW coilovers, and the front fenders are rolled. 2.5 degrees up front and 2 degrees in the rear.
And a few of my wife's car. 3SDM wheels 18 x 8.5 et 45 up front and 18 x 9.5 et 40 in the rear. Falken 512 all around 225/40/18. The car is on ST coilovers. It might be going lower shortly. As of right now no rubbing issues.

Thanks man! I really like how much 19s fill the arches, but I test for some 18s with R compound tires and now I’m really considering going down to 18s. These are 18x9 et45 with 255/35 R888Rs

New to the forum here, are you using any spacers or any modification to the fenders or anything to get wheels fit without any issues as I'm looking to get the same setup with 18x9s but with 245-40-18s tires.

Thanks in advance.
