With the Ultralink you can tune your vehicle with APR Engine Control Unit (ECU) and APR Transmission Control Unit (TCU) Upgrades right from the convenience of your own home, all on your own! It connects your vehicle directly to the Ultralink Marketplace, which is our online store filled with tens of thousands of tunes supporting most of the vehicles in our catalogue.

The Ultralink lets you download and install new engine and transmission tunes, update to new file versions, jump to a new stage, change octanes and program modes, configure adjustable features such as launch control, torque levels, speed limiters, and other features, read and clear fault codes, reset flash counters, and more!

We also kept our existing APR software owners in mind when creating the Ultralink. There’s no need to purchase a tune twice! Your vehicle is already in our database as an existing customer. And best of all, the Ultralink is completely unlocked. Use it to buy and install software on all your or your friend’s vehicles!

Reset the flash counter with each APR Tune or uninstall APR Software and go back to stock
Is this a TD1 workaround, or simply referring to the Ultralink's flash counter?

e: Arin answered this further on, but to be clear: this isn't the case, you can still get TD1 flag from tuning, this is supposed to address a different issue entirely.

We reset the flash counter with each flash. So, you won't show 50+ flashes or whatever (depending how much you flash). Also, if we didn't, you'd eventually hit a limiter and brick the ECU.

also how much are these tunes in the marketplace after buying the link?
Same price as a dealer. For example, $499.95 for a MK7 Stage 1 ECU Upgrade. Take 10% off of that right now during the sale.

I know the limiter is at least north of 150 for reference...

Are the DTR tunes just listed in the market place for free or do you still need to input your code somewhere to gain access?

If you already bought the tune, you have access.
It's for the DTR6054, so the tune is "included" in the form of a code on a piece of paper to provide to an APR dealership for the software. My car has not been to an APR dealer to be flashed, so it's not recorded in your database...So do I use that code within the market place somewhere to gain access?

Edit for clarity: Yes I technically bought the tune, but I don't see how you would have record of that so I want to confirm I have access bc nothing will come back when the device runs my VIN in your database

So the car will still show as TD1 at the dealer and everyone will know that it has been flashed at least once?
