I feel glad to present you with our new MQB specific brake kit.

Our goal was to design a flexible setup using mostly OEM parts, with efficient characteristics for everyday road use,
but also dynamic features to perform properly on heavy braking load conditions -trackdays/endurance sessions etc.-

So... after extended research we've summarized on the following setup:

4 pot calipers manufactured by BREMBO, derived from Alfa Romeo Giulia Veloce.
Lightweight monoblock design, presenting the specific bridge which can only be found on the Grand Turismo Series, which offers increased rigidity.

The fact it accommodates the well known 132mm passepartout Brembo pad shape offers great flexibility.

VW/AUDI OEM brake disc, 360mm diameter, plug'n'play fitment -no need for any modifications whatsoever-
presenting a large ventilation gap, which keeps the weight down to 345mm levels.

Obviously, this setup fits only under minimum 18" alloy wheels...

No link, no price, no sale.
Unfortunately we're not running an eshop at the moment...

We're planning to do so just after fully established on our new facilities...

Oriented on the European market until now... but shipping overseas isn't a problem...

Sounds like an 'interesting' alternative to the Macan, TTS, TTRS options.
I'd be interested to hear what advantages this set up offers and more importantly what the cost would be.

Sounds like an 'interesting' alternative to the Macan, TTS, TTRS options.
I'd be interested to hear what advantages this set up offers and more importantly what the cost would be.
Let's start with the Brembo caliper...

1. Relatively compact and lightweight design (2919grams)
2. Increased stiffness due to the GT specific bridge design
3. Accomodates the most common pad shape among other sportcars

Regarding the MEB rotors...

1. OEM fitment
2. Increased dimensions 358x30
3. Relatively big airgap helps elimination of big thermal loads
4. Weight remaining to OEM levels

Caliper brackets

1. CAD designed
2. CNC machined with high accuracy
3. from billet Duralumin 7075-T651 for stiffness
4. hard anodised for increased corrosion resistance

Still working on the final price depending on the pads supplied and the possible paintjob...

so the calipers appear to be these:

https://store.mopar.com/oem-parts/mopar-caliper-68420126aa

am i correct that these are 40/40mm pistons?

and with the bridge, this requires unbolting them from the aluminum brackets for pad changes, no?

Yeah right... the part numbers seem to be the correct ones, and I can confirm the equal size of pistons (both 40mm dia) 👍

Also, pad replacement requires unbolting from the brackets to insert the new pads...
