Is your asthma bad? What do you take for it? Mine was 10x worse when I was younger but it's still there. I just use an Albuterol rescue and still have to take it a few times a day, I don't really have 'attacks' anymore but it's annoying. When I was younger I died and was in the hospital for 6 weeks. I've been meaning to explore what the latest and greatest treatments are but have PTSD or something and hate doctors. I'd love if there was something that made it so I didn't have to take the inhaler multiple times a day
Damn man, glad you're here. Mine wasn't awful when I was a kid, got a bit worse when I was in my early teens, and then pretty much when I started smoking weed, it got better/I was able to do more athletic stuff. Then for a long time it wasn't bad at all, then within the last few years it decided to be a jerk and I had my first asthma attack in years, where I had to go to the hospital. I'm also doing the albuterol thing, I was on a maintenance-type inhaler, I'd have to check and see what it was but I stopped that after a couple years. It helped some, but it wasn't like a magical cure that completely fixed everything.

These days I carry an inhaler, there was a time where I needed it almost daily BUT now it's fairly rare, as long as I'm managing my allergies otherwise. I'm with you though, I hate going to doctors/hospitals just because it's so expensive, and it feels like time that I could be doing something more productive. Not that I don't believe in the work they do/the progress we've made as a whole in understanding diseases and whatnot, I just don't like having to sit and wait.

i forgot how lucky i was to have somehow grown out of asthma before I was 10. i was a preemy, 1 month early, had to spend a week in an incubator to get my lungs working. luckily don't think i had many attacks as a kid.

Due to my upcoming surgery, was able to get switched to 100% remote effective 5/1. So don't even have to go into the office occasionally. With no deadline, and my boss is the kind of person who'll let me ride it out as long as possible.

These young'uns view their time as free.

When I used to go to San Diego Comic Con for work, you'd see people camp out for 16 - 18 hours to get a free Funko Pop they could turn around and sell on eBay for $150 - $200.

anyone else been having more issues than normal with site pages loading?

none of your business what forum/browser I'm on
I’m having issues with certain offsite hosted portals for work. It’s working for other people though. And another controller for the same tool works for me.

In all seriousness, GTIfan is right - there have been significant advances in asthma treatment and seeing a specialist will most likely make your life far better.

What type of asthma?

Rescue inhalers, depending on what you were prescribed, shouldn't be a primary treatment and can cause longterm damage to your lungs when used that way.

I'm just trying to go back to the barter system. Jay can help me fix my car, I'll check his prostate. It's win/ win.
