When all else fails read the instructions! I just looked carefully at the rear sockets and there's a small symbol by them that denotes charging only - more penny pinching on the Mk.8?

I don't know if I'm missing something but my memory stick music plays OK on the two front USB C sockets but not 'seen' by the system when plugged into either rear USB C socket. Perhaps these rear sockets are only for charging phones? I'd be grateful for comments.

Euro NCap have released the crash tests for the Mk.8 at https://www.euroncap.com/en/results/vw/golf/39844 There is concern that the rear driver's door (presumably LHD) opened in the side impact test. VW are looking at the problem.
