I wonder if the lower power output is from VW retuning HP / Torque off the top to boost it down low. Different intake, tuning, turbo housing. Something like that. I know Chrysler at least used to do that across car and SUV models that share powertrains. Maybe I am too optimistic though.

Agreed - 3rd row isn't that bad after all. Still look rather usable. Please to see they fold very flat too.

Wow. I quite like that. I really like the direction VW is going with the grilles and fascia. Really like the interior too. 3rd row though - if I were in the market for this vehicle, I'd wish it was optional.
