Glad to see everyone is ok off of this Asian car carrier ship with over 5,000 cars onboard !! Could you imagine if you had your brand new car on this ship eagerly awaiting it's arrival !!!

Yeah that's what I was thinking too. Just goes to show how powerful nature can be, and how little seas (10ft) it takes to cause problems. I'm glad the sailors are safe. Shame about everyones new cars though.

It all depends on the shipping contract b/c that determines who has the risk of loss when the ship went down. Took a few Uniform Commercial Code classes in law school.

There were no reports of any cars going overboard. Beuerman said typically vehicles are securely fastened.

lol, just because the cars didnt go overboard doesnt mean some of them werent damaged when the ship tipped to the side like that
