My 2014 GTI Wolfsburg needs rear pads. Because the pedal is a bit mushy for my taste (not air), I figure why not do all 4 wheels. As I look online for replacement pads, I am baffled by the choices: a wide range of prices, some with wear indicators, some not, some restricted to 2010, some labeled "2011 on" and most with no such label.
If anyone has a solid recommendation (meaning one that they have personally tried and it fits) I would be grateful. I do not plan to track or autocross, so no need for fancy ceramic etc. Also, I see a variety of piston retractor tools. Do I have to buy the more expensive Schwaben one with 18 different discs, or will a less expensive one work?
