yeah also an unsung hero of the garage are those cheap flexible plastic cutting mats, I got two at Ikea for a buck and use them to sorta-guide fluids so that I can minimize spills
You know they make this called a funnel? It's great for getting guiding fluids into places without making a mess.

There are places where a funnel won't fit, like between the subframe and the VAQ housing. A flexible cutting board helps with stuff like that.

Bonus point for making your own with extra cut-off pieces of hose laying around.

Yeah that's a cool funnel and all but it won't fit everywhere.

This is very nice for the thinner liquids in hard to reach areas.

Just found this which looks really cool. I could use it for the Pilot.

This is the flexible funnel but a placemat or cutting board works too.

I bought one of these, and it's worth it's weight in gold when I don't want to change out of my work clothes to change the oil in the car after work. I learned after ruining several decent shirts and pants with oil stains because I was in a hurry.

Inexpensive, has a magnet to stick to the oil filter, designed smart, and made in the USA. What's not to love? Only reason I don't use it on the VW is because we have upside down oil filters.

I don’t care about oil on me plus I wear gloves. It’s not getting oil all over the car and driveway/garage floor.
Lmao same. Hard pass on fancy funnels to avoid getting a drop of oil on your precious fingies
