Cobb Tuning has recently released their new AccessPort for MK8 GTI, R and 8Y S3 platforms. We wasted no time getting our development car on the rollers to get some early testing done and review current strategy and how it correlates to the new platform. The car currently has aftermarket 18" wheels and our prototype catback exhaust, so I ran a new baseline pull today before proceeding with tuning.

This is on straight California 91 octane fuel and untuned TCU. We're really just playing within the limits of the fuel quality and the stock TCU tune to keep things safe and reliable. I'll be working on this more over the next few days to see what else is possible within these limitations.

After extensive torture testing, we'll move on to some ethanol tuning. Then we'll see if our TCU is tunable and really get some gains going! But getting a nice safe 30whp and 50ft-lbs on the first day of tuning is not too bad!.

We're currently working on our stage 1 R software (91/E85) and possibly will work on stage 2, but we have a GTI lined up and ready to begin dev work as soon as we get the R staged tunes released
