I worked at a company that got cryptolocked (ransomware) and the poor it infrastructure left them needing 2 weeks to recover.

That was 2 full business weeks where the company literally could do nothing and the employees didn't go to work but still had to be paid.

Lots of companies have bad it infrastructure, and even a huge company can be totally taken down by it.
