Too bad Chevy can't design a nice looking Sport Compact... they are doing a much better job with suspension, brakes, and power...

The Cobalt SS is powered by a 2.0L Ecotec turbocharged and intercooled engine with 260 horsepower. The engine is mated to a five-speed manual transmission with a short-throw shifter while Brembro brakes help bring the car to a halt. The high-performance Cobalt also features a Nürburgring-tuned FE5 Sport suspension.

All this is telling me is Chevy is making a faster, more powerful, better stopping, better handling car that is right inline with the GTI. Sure it maybe faster but its still a Chevy Cobalt. A Dodge SRT4 is faster too, but I'll never own one.
