12v flash light

So recently had a mishap with the car and was able to use the phone flash light app but thought having a regular flash light would have been nice.

Has anyone used the cigarette LED flashlights?

Thanks

The Fixer
Like all rechargeable things, the battery will fail and eventually not hold a charge. How long, who knows. I keep a regular mini light in the tool kit. Cigarette lighter is already maxed out.

I bought a small LED flashlight with built-in crank charger after numerous sets of batteries died in the previous flashlight while it sat unused in the glovebox.

You can buy a light which has a CR123 battery, which will handle cold/hot and sitting inactive much better than a Lith or alkaline battery light.

An example would be the SureFire G2X pro in yellow, $70, pushbutton (once for 15 lumen, again for 350 lumen), uses 2 CR123A batteries, 5.20 inches long.

Or, if you want a headlamp (to keep your hands free to change a tire, for example) then there is the Streamlight Sidewinder Compact $75, CR123 powered light.
