Where can I find a diagram on removing the rear bumper for my Mk8 R? Tia!

If you ask your VW dealer nicely, they might print out the instructions for you from the VW repair manual. Dealers (at least in Canada, where I live) tend to be pretty friendly about small things like this. It would be different if you asked them to print out instructions to remove the engine...

I have removed the rear bumper cover on my MK 7, it is not a difficult job but it is time-consuming and you will need to have two people to lift it off and then to replace it. Be very cautious about wires behind the bumper cover that connect to licence plate lights, park distance sensors, etc.

At a guess, it would involve the rear lights to be removed, then half of the screws on each wheel liner and the plastic trim connected to the very bottom of the bumper.

Just going based on previous VAG cars.
