i agree.. Schlenkerla is not your typical beer. its has a very unique smokey flavor thats not overpowering like many other smokey beers, with a slight bite at the end...I wish I had a warm glass of it right now

Just had this two nights ago http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/158/12013, amazing Imperial Stout. He should def check out everything Stone has to offer as well if he is a hop head. Allagash White is one of my favorite beers.

during his journey, he absolutely has to try an Avery Sameal's. It's part of their demon series of beers. Each 12 oz. bottle contains no less than 15.5% and they taste AMAZING....

they run a little pricey but it's well worth it.

Oh right now he should look for Dogfish Head World Wide Stout, $20 for 12oz and its 18%ABV. Smells like rubbing alcohol but tastes like awesome.

Ha, good beer has been a topic at work for the past few weeks. There have been a few days where 10AM beer runs have been considered just to have it in the car to take home. I recently spent about $150 on beer alone since my favorite shop got a shipment in and a lot of it was limited/seasonal brews.

Yea unfortunately I dont know many places that hve the beers I enjoy. Only a few places around me have Brooklyn lager, franziskaner, and schlenkerla...

Bush noel. A belgian christmas beer sitting somewhere around 12% or so would be a good one to put on xmas day
