Any ideas on replacing bulbs on a Buick?

Not my choice but my stepson's grandparents bought him his first car. It's a 2008 Buick Lacrosse but unfortunately it comes with some beat ass standard bulbs. Poor kid can't see at night and I want to set him up with some quality aftermarket lights.
Not looking to replace this and that, just looking to see if anyone on here has any experience with a plug and play HID kit that won't break the bank.

Does it have projector headlights or reflector style? If reflector style then I would not put in an HID kit without doing a proper retrofit. HID lights don’t work well with reflector housings. The easiest and cheapest way to improve it would be to upgrade to a different bulb. Are the lenses clear? That will make a difference too.

LED bulbs or some OSRAM swap in replacement bulbs. HID is pretty outdated and as mentioned above doesn't work well with reflector housings.
