^full repaint is the least of your worries with a car like this. soo expensive, but if you have the cash, soo worth it.

totally agree. I'm focusing on getting a strong engine...suspension/interior/paint come later.

the E30 was available with straight 6's, just not in the M3.

Yup Rabbit GTI is right. Most likely its from an e36 M. They make an engine mount for that swap and it's one im debating. There's a guy on s14 that dropped an e46 motor!!!

As far as parts...they are def more expensive than non-M parts. ie. waterpump for 92 525i $60-80, for my m3 $140-160, i forget the exact prices. Don't forget labor, and I wouldnt take the car to a hole in the wall shop, you'll end up finding someone reputable, and when you do...well...they know it too. Finding oem parts arent too difficult, same with aftermarket parts. Basically you just need to surf the forums. You can always check out:

www.turnermotorsport.com

or Foreign Parts Specialists (FPS) based out in Sacramento. This is where I would get OEM parts, they have good prices most of the time. The owners brother owns a shop that works on M3's and Porche's.

Get one now while you can and hold on to it until you can get to where you want it.
