Best lens to match human perspective.

Well, I looked for a bit and couldn't find much information on this.

For now 99% of the pics I have are shot with my cellphone wich has a crappy built-in camera with supposedly 32mm lens.
But then, from time to time I use my dad's camera with a 37-85mm lens.

Now, the thing is that when I find a good perspective to shoot, I get all messed up angles when taking the photo. IRC, this is mostly because of the lens making some of the distortion, but I never got to know whic one is the one that can give you the closest to a human view perspective.

So any pointers will be more than welcome.

closest to human perception would be a full frame SLR and a 58mm focal length. a 50mm prime lens would be close, or a zoom lens set at 58mm. or you could use a crop body dslr and a 35mm lens which would give you an effective focal length of 56mm.

From what you wrote I think your issue is less about focal length and more about perspective.

Google "Scheimpflug principle" and read up.

So to answer your question the best lens would be one that allows for perspective control. $$$ pricey lenses. You can also fix a lot of lens distortion with software. DxO Optics Pro is one I use.
