I know someone with a B5 S4 that had really bad transmission problems. Someone broke into it, realized they couldn't get from first to second and parked it in a spot like 2 rows over. Called the police, got a ride home, the parking lot cleared out and then they were like oh wait here is your car.

IT was driveable you just sort of had to know how, only the owner one of his friends and myself were able to do it. Guess the thief couldn't handle it.
