That sounds very safe.I have no idea what the tint was on my R, but I'd bet that was around 25-30% and it was never a problem. My GTIs had 15% tint and that was dark enough that at night I'd roll my windows down to see sometimes.

This is TOO DARK LMAOI ended up with 50% ceramic over my windshield and 5% ceramic on the rest of the car. It’s hard to deal with on rare occasions

35% is just about perfect which is what I recommend most people. I currently have 35% on all windows including the windshieldi too like 35ish%
