Nobody appreciates the MK5 and that was my first VW (a '09 GTI 2 door manual) and by far the most solid one. (except for the terrible radio/stereo)

CSB time
Went to NE states for karting and casinos for a friend's bachelor party. Went about how you'd expect, I'm poor(er) now and put on a few pounds. Brought the helmet with a gopro mount, now my wife wants to take a trip up there for karting. We did Monza (Foxwoods) and Supercharged (Naskart), Supercharged was thursday for the super track (both tracks combined) and then Saturday was Monza. Supercharged has quick karts, but I really don't love their decision to use retractable seatbelts. Particularly not when I slide on cold tires and smack a wall hard enough to get lifted from the seat a little, and hit hard enough to wonder if I've fractured a rib. I was pretty pleased though, respectable enough times for a filthy casual and some good lines. Monza was fun as well, smaller course and lots more casual folks getting in the way. We're not league racing though, so it's to be expected.
I think I'm over gambling. I wound up losing money expecting that I'd be able to win enough back to at least come up even, but instead I lost my breakfast money for Sunday. My ribcage is starting to heal but getting up/sitting down is still not a pleasant process, really makes me understand having a comfort cruiser.

jk I would've said something here BUT it was a very small group of us out to celebrate our friend, and by extension I didn't want to burn out the quarterly CSB meetup when my wife is expecting a trip up north for just that purpose (and wants to take the fun car)
