Fourth desktop to bridge the generation gap (concept)

Listening to complaints in most of the reviews and comments I drew up a software design for an additional desktop layout that would fix at least some of the most frequent concerns.

It will never happen, as for it to make sense they would have to duplicate some functionalities of the touch buttons below and remove the icons on the left bottom of the screen so they don't duplicate, but a fourth desktop layout for fans of a more conventional design would be doable as a software upgrade.

At least older drivers wouldn't feel so alienated.

Thoughts?

Why make make something simple when with a little bit of effort it’s possible to make it extremely complicated 🙄.

Very good idea!
Unfortunatley VW in making cuts made the display too small. They could have made it larger by eliminating the physical slider controls, extending the display down and have the AC / volume controls displayed permanently at the bottom or as a user option to configure - like the dropdown shortcuts. Wishful thinking or what :sneaky:
This is the new 13 inch screen from the 2022 Focus, looks like it covers it all as you described it (also has the Max AC physical button below).

It does feel distractingly big, but this is probably the way all screens will go.
