Hello,

Actually, I purchased my 2010 VW GTI 4DR 6SP DEEP BLK on the last day of March 2010 so I had this baby for about two nice weeks! Do I enjoy it? Heck yeah! I look forward going to work and coming home, going to get groceries and even to stop by the post office just to get another chance on riding these wheels. I had owned a 1986/1992 Jetta and 1998 Golf but the GTI is a breed of its own. Looking forward on posting and continue reading many posts that exist in this forum.

Regards,

Nikolai

I hear you buddy, its great coming up with reasons and excuses to get behind that beautiful wheel. ENJOY!

Hey guys and girls, just introducing myself. I picked up my car in November and have never look back. This is my 3rd vdub and I stem from a German car heritage.
Cheers

Yo. Picked mine up this last Saturday. Nice car. Getting used to driving a dub with 2 less cylinders than I'm used to. Always been a VR6 driver since day 1 many years ago.

It's a Carbon Gray Metallic, 6 speed manual, Autobahn package equipped... the works.

i started off in a 2008 silver polo i put some nice rims on her but she just wasnt fast enough.

Went to my local VW garage to see what i could get my hands on has my eye wer on the entry level scirocco the 172 i think but when i went home to get an insurance quote the cheapest i got was £5000 since i was 18 obviously £5000 for insurance is madness.

So i started looking into the golfs and finally ordered a 3-dr deep black se tsi 122ps with leather, storage pack and media upgrade since i picked it up in october iv tinted all the windows, full custom exhaust from MIJ performance and a sound system from VIBE audio my rims should be on before october after an expensive holiday pictures will follow soon.

Thnx for reading anythin u need to knw or any questions msg me luke.

Hi all! This is my first post here. I currently drive a TR MK6 GTI, 3door, 6MT, base. All I have on it right now is 35% tint all around except the windshield of course. I'm not planning to mod it much, plans for the future are wider wheels with stickier rubber... that's about it.

Addendum:
I used to drive a MK4 Jetta GLI 24V VR6, however, it got involved in an accident. I've always liked VW's and so I bought a GTI; my next car after this would definitely be another VW.

Hi folks! Glad to be here. :)

I currently drive a 2007 BMW 328i sedan and am not happy with it. While it has the dimming mirrors, great sport seats, firm lumbar support and a nice radio, it unfortunately drives like a well-handling tank. It is much too big and heavy for what it is supposed to be- at least what I thought it is supposed to be!

The 2010 GTI is under serious consideration and I have been lurking here for months, touched by the pride and joy with the car many of the folks posting here obviously have.

I see some other people switched from BMW to the VW GTI. I have been reading of their experiences with obvious interest.

Ciao!

Hi everyone-

I am currently in the process of ordering a 2011 GTI. The pricing has not been release yet, so once the dealers have the pricing, I'll start my negotiations.

I currently drive a 2000 Acura RL. Nice car. Very boring car.
I've always loved VW's- owned a MKIII Jetta for a couple of years, and that is the only car I've owned that I miss. I loved that car.

I test drove the GTI, CC, Mazdaspeed 3, and the WRX. It was a very difficult decision between the WRX (mostly due to the exterior redesign coming up in the 2011 MY), and the GTI. In the end the GTI won because I'm interested in having a quick, very well rounded car, as opposed to a very fast econo box.

I've been lurking here for a while. Lots of great info.

Looks like if you want the 2011 Autobahn Package, you must get the NAV. That's a deal breaker for me.

New here, but disappointed in the 2011 GTI package offerings.

How is it going peeps?

New to the forum, back in the VW game after a Volvo S60. Owned VW's most of my driving life, MK1 Jetta, Scirocco, Corrado, and now for something along the sensible lines engine wise, doesn't mean that it has to look sensible!!! Pick it up in 2 weeks, Wheels, tints and exhaust are first on the list....... any suggestion on wheels are welcome. Swaying between black with red stripe or is that too dodgy??? Not so sure now i've written that ...... A clean OEM look.

I do have couple of questions.

1) Is the foglight wiring still there with the "S" or if i was buying foggies would i need to get someone to do the electrics.

2) Does upgrading the rcd 210 headunit require me to purchase an additional aperture to accomodate a double din say a rcd 510?

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Hey, 1st post as well...

I'm selling my 05 Subaru Outback manual, 2.5 turbo... It's the stable mate to my 09 600hp Nissan GTR ( modded). I wanted to add a fun car I can take to autox's and commute in as the subbie only gets 19mpg and the GTR 16.

I like the wrx, and mazdaspeed but the 5 star crash rear side and 32mpg hwy, nicer interior and DSG ( fell in love with DCT's in the gtr).. Has caught my attention

I'm debating a 4 door ( have a daughter) base dsg. I can't seem to find one with the rear side airbag option (not the curtain)
