Can someone explain this to me… I have a 2010 Volkswagen golf base model, automatic 2.5 L I replaced Bank 1 Sensor 2 and 3. Live data shows that the sensors are working. But the engine is still showing a codes Bank 1 Sensor 2 Internal resistance too high heater not working. Live data shows It is working temperatures are above 650° at idle same with Sensor 3 both sensors were replaced with Bosch sensors twice within a week. why would it keep illuminating the CEL? It’s over due for smog…Scan attached

Are you sure it’s the correct O2 sensor? Where did it get them from?

Okay if they matched the numbers then you should be okay. Places like that will try to see you whatever their computer tells them that fits which always includes "universal" ones tho they never work on modern cars.

Besides resetting with OBD11 have you disconnected the battery?

Did you clear the codes after swapping?

All the sensor don't go bad at the same time, resistance Too HIGH usually mean open circuit, so do visual and continuty checks on the harness, maybe mice eating the wires or something got pinched.
They didn’t both go bad one came off the car, going down the highway and the other one was bad

Can you elaborate on, "one came off going down the highway."

I have never heard of an O2 sensor just falling off driving down the road. I googled it just now and it actually seems like it is not uncommon. So, if it fell out did it drag?

yeah that sounds like an install malfunction... i too have not heard of this, but you may have a damaged connector where these plug in, i would def. visually assess before buying parts to see the extend of possible damage.
