Added 375x36mm steel and 380x38mm ceramic, both from RSQ3 F3. 375x36mm rotor suggest that is possibility to make even bigger (or smaller, 350mm option), Q7 P&P swaps, more research needed tho

Shortly I should have opportunity to measure bolt spacing on calipers from Touareg CR7 (3 gen) with 3.0 TDI (Same MLB platform like Q7). According to ELSA, 2.0TSI hybrid and 3.0TDI had 350x34mm (minimum 17 inch wheel), 3.0TSI had 375x36mm (minimum 18 inch wheel) and V8 4.0 TDI had 400x34mm (19inch wheel minimum)

Interesting thing, that 350 and 375 calipers come in two different piston sizes, depending on PR number:

PR number1ZA (350mm)1ZK(350mm)1LN (375mm)1LP (375mm)1LV (400mm) / 1LF (400mm)
Piston size30/36/3835/35/3830/36/3835/35/3830/36/38

EDIT:

After research. 4M0615301BJ rotor from RSQ3 is not the same as Q7 4M rotors (but uses the same, 4M0 parts number, that suggested me that is part from Q7). Touareg CR7/ Q7 4M have rotors with 57,4 mm height and 68mm centering hole, so no way it would fit MQB hub without centering rings or different hub (I checked and RSQ3/Formentor uses standard golf 8 or TTS hub). So 4M0615301BJ rotor must be "MQB friendly" rotor, especially made for this application (60mm centering and +-50mm height). Strange that its starts with 4M0, instead of 83A

Aren't Touareg/Q7/Cayenne all the larger 5x130 bolt pattern? I'm pretty sure that's the reason for the different part numbers compared to the RSQ3.

Just chiming in, the 35/35/38 options should be a non-starter due to not even being in the ballpark of a reasonable piston area. The 30/36/38 should be comparable to PP, but with just a slightly larger surface area (more force, longer travel, softer pedal).

I'm neck deep in this Mk2 Tiguan and starting to get nervous. It's looking like a very low offset would be necessary to clear these. Stock wheels are about 20mm too close Stock 340 rotors are just bit too wide. Looking at 338x30 but more likely 330x30

Will be giving them a try on the GTI I guess.

314x30mm (Brembo 4 pot caliper Q5 FY)

Searching info about ATE calipers from A4/A5 B9, I found out that in Q5 FY (2nd gen) audi offers the same 338mm rotors used with ATE calipers, but with Brembo 4 pot calipers instead. I didn't find too much info about this swap, but potentially, it fits the same way like ATE calipers from the same platform (314x30mm discs, modified banjo bolt/different brake lines? / dust shields trimming?)

This swap is for now theoretical, because I have no info about this swap done on MQB platform, but I put info about this swap, so maybe someone brave wants to do this swap ;)

If so, then it needs even more offset/spacers than popular Macan caliper swap.😬

If you want to try 338x30, you can try 8S0615301 rotors from TTS for ATE 4piston caliper, but as 338x30 is only available from audi, as aftermarket makes only 340x30mm rotor (the same as on GTI-PP/R), because 340mm rotor fits TTS caliper and aftermarket doesn't care to make 338x30 if the more popular 340x30mm fits

I don't know if you have Tiguan with 340x30, or 314x30 rotor, but for ATE Q5 swap (same size rotor on MLB cars, but more popular than Brembo) as "proven" solution is 314x30mm rotor from Tiguan/Sharan. OEM 314x30mm rotor part no. 5QF615301A/1K0615301AJ , Bosch part number 09.B635.11

If you have non-pp GTI, you can try to fit with 312x25mm rotor, if fit is very close, then the "proven" 314x30 is way to go ;)

And thanks for sharing info, I really apreciate it :)

Update about ID4 /Q4 e-tron 358x30mm rotors. First replacement rotors for 340x27mm size come out to the market (From textar and delphi). I compared them with standard 340x30mm PP rotors. Height is about the same (ID4 50mm vs PP 49,6, so almost nothing), centering it's the same 65mm on both, but it seems that the hub plate (or how it is called contact surface between hub and rotor) it's different size on MEB cars compared to MQB. 177mm on ID4/Q4 vs 156mm on MQB cars. So probably, changing only disc and caliper carrier from ID/Q4 and leaving PP caliper might by not an option and it would require a full swap, with caliper included. With all swapped, THEORETICALLY it would fit and could be a cheaper option to 356x34mm MK8 R brake swap

How's it going everybody, question for the group. First, this thread is the closest that I can get to figuring out what size brakes I have. I'm not in the same location as my vehicle at the moment, so I can't check part numbers or measure. I'm thinking of upgrading, and found a pair of vented/slotted rotors and pads at 312mm but don't know if I have 282 or 312. I have a 2015 GTI, non-PP, 2 door hatch. I have red calipers, but again, not the PP red calipers, it's just plain red with no GTI logo. Does anyone know which size that would be? I'm going to call the dealership with the VIN when I'm able.

312mm disc fronts with a single 57mm dia piston sliding fist caliper.....are standard on a GTI non-PP...& the calipers are painted red..
